ChatBlocker Installation Instructions
Thank you for purchasing ChatBlocker! After a few more steps you will have the ability to block chats and instant messages on your PC. In the event you have an antivirus application installed on the PC you may need to exclude certain files from being scanned. For more information on antivirus exclusions please click here.

Because of its recording and surveillance abilities, ChatBlocker can be labeled as spyware by programs such as Norton and McAfee. Directions are included on how to exclude ChatBlocker from being deleted or effected by these applications.
This will install ChatBlocker with shortcuts in the Start Menu and help documentation. In the event you would like to install ChatBlocker without Start Menu shortcuts and help documentation please click here for Stealth Mode installation instructions.
It is very important that ChatBlocker is not running while installing or updating.
Step 1
In order to begin installation insert the CD into the CD drive or if you purchased a download copy double-click the chatblocker-setup file. The welcome window will load as shown in the image below. Please be sure to read all the information prior to clicking the Next > button.
Step 2
After clicking the Next > button the Important Notes window will load. Read through the important notes then click the Next > button.
Step 3
In this next window you will see the ExploreAnywhere Software End User License Agreement. After reading and agreeing to the End User License Agreement click the Yes button.
Step 4
The next window allows you to choose which directory you would like to install ChatBlocker in. If you would like to change the destination directory/folder names to something other than 'ExploreAnywhere' and 'ChatBlocker', type the new names in this step and then click the Next > button.
Step 5
In the following window select Administrator and click the Next > button.
Step 6
In the next window setup will add program icons to the Program Folder ChatBlocker. If you would like to change the folder name from ChatBlocker to something else do so here. You can also skip this step by clicking the 'Skip This' button.
Step 7
In the final window click the Next > button to begin installation.
Step 8
Now you will be prompted to select Yes to include an uninstaller or No if you do not want to include an uninstaller. See image below.
Step 9
ChatBlocker installation is now complete. Click the Close button to run ChatBlocker!
Step 10
When ChatBlocker loads click the button that reads Register ChatBlocker Now. Enter your serial number then click the button that reads Click here to activate your copy of ChatBlocker! See image below.
Note: The serial number is in XXX-XXXXXXXXX-XXX format and is case sensitive.
Step 11
After activating ChatBlocker you will be prompted to create a password. Enter a password you will be able to remember and click Save. See image below.
Success!
Once the ChatBlocker Central Control Panel loads you can begin setting your chat blocking options. Click the options button in order to access these settings.
To begin blocking click the clock icon and click Start ChatBlocker and select Immediate Block to begin blocking. Enter the password you created during installation and click the start/stop button. The ChatBlocker control panel will disappear. To load the control panel hold down all of the following hotkeys at the same time:
SHIFT CTRL ALT F8
Now enter your password and click the Start/Stop button. When the control panel loads click the logs you would like to view.

These instructions are for installing ChatBlocker in stealth mode and will not create shorcuts in the Start Menu or install help documentation.

In the final window click the Next > button to begin installation.

Now you will be prompted to chose Yes or No if you would like to include an uninstaller. Please select No in order to continue the Stealth installation.

ChatBlocker installation is now complete. Click the Close button to run ChatBlocker!

Stealth and Concealment Settings
When the ChatBlocker Control Panel loads, follow these directions for maximum stealth settings.
Once these options are selected, click the Apply button.
